Admission Overview

University of Dayton’s online Master of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program offers class start dates three times per year — in January, May and September.

Applications are now being accepted for the upcoming cohort; admission decisions are made on a rolling basis. 

The Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis also offers three cohort start dates per year, as well as rolling admission.

Early application is strongly recommended, and the sooner you apply, the earlier you will receive an admission decision. If you apply by the priority deadline, you will receive an application fee waiver. Contact your admission counselor to find out if you are eligible for an application fee waiver prior to submitting your application.

If you want to become a behavior analyst, share ideas and experiences, and learn from others, then our online ABA program may be right for you. Ideal candidates are passionate about creating positive change and are able to work in collaborative learning environments.

A background in psychology, education, human services or counseling is preferred, but not required. To be eligible to apply to the ABA program, you must:

To be eligible for the Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis, you must meet the same requirements as the ABA degree program, with the additional requirement of holding a master’s degree.

Please note: To be considered an official transcript, the transcript must be sent directly from your institution(s) or through an electronic transcript vendor retained by that institution. Transcripts submitted by enrolled or prospective students are considered unofficial documents, even if they are in a sealed envelope provided to you by the issuing university.

To submit transcripts electronically, you may send them to appsvcs@educationonline.udayton.edu.

Submission of GRE standardized test scores is optional. If you wish, you may submit scores for the admission committee to consider while they evaluate your application. The admission committee reserves the right to request a GRE score from any applicant in order to make a more informed admission decision. We encourage you to speak with an admission counselor about whether a GRE score can support your candidacy.

If you are an international applicant, you must take the TOEFL exam and submit your results.
